Insect Growth Regulators

Insect growth regulators (IGRs) disrupt the insect life cycle by interrupting pupal development. Diacon® IGR products (excluding Diacon® IGR PLUS) are tolerance exempt IGRs that can be used everywhere stored product insects are a problem. Diacon® IGR products can be used on all stored grains, spices, feed and seeds including those used for animal and human consumption. From commercial elevator and on-site farm storage to food processing facilities and everywhere in between, Diacon® IGR products go where insects are to provide long-term control and profit protection.

Adulticides

Adulticides target adult insects as opposed to insects in their pupal stages. Bug Free Grains Stored Product Solutions offers adulticides with two types of active ingredients: pyrethrins naturally-derived from Chrysanthemum cinerariifolium and deltamethrin. Both provide a quick kill with residual control.

Synergists

While synergists display limited insecticide efficacy on their own, their value comes in enhancing the potency of other insecticides. Synergists function as a resistance management tool used to block the insect’s enzymes that metabolize active ingredients.

Combination Products

Featuring dual active ingredients that include an insect growth regulator (IGR) plus an adulticide, combination products such as Diacon® IGR PLUS stop larval development as well as kill adults with each application. The one-two punch allows operators to use a single product to control stored product insect infestations.
