Prior-to-Harvest

Cleaning bins and equipment is recommended prior to grain storage. It is imperative to clean out all grains from the previous years. Once clean, apply one of the following formulations to help control any lingering insects and eggs you can’t see. We recommend:

• Diacon^_® IGR PLUS: A versatile liquid formulation, ideal for use on stored grains and for treating empty bins and warehouses for stored product insect control.
• Gravista^_® Insecticide: 3-in-1 insect control with an adulticide, an insect growth regulator (IGR) and a synergist; ideal for areas with weevils, it kills labeled insects and breaks their life cycles.

Post-Harvest

Treating grain as it’s loaded into storage is an effective way to protect against stored grain insects throughout the storage period. Our grain protection solutions for on-grain treatments provide a crucial layer of protection against profit-robbing insects. We offer a variety of solutions for on-grain treatments to meet your grain storage strategy:

• Diacon^_® IGR: A versatile liquid formulation IGR that can be applied directly to grain stream, interrupting insect life cycles, providing long-term control and profit protection.
• Diacon^_®-D IGR: A dry formulation insect growth regulator (IGR) designed for locations where water is scarce.
• Diacon^_® IGR PLUS: A versatile liquid formulation, ideal for use on stored grains to provide insect control.
• Gravista^_® Insecticide: 3-in-1 insect control to kill labeled insects and break their life cycles.

Existing Infestations

Bug Free Grains offers rescue options as an alternative to fumigation. So, even when you find signs of an insect infestation in your stored grain, it’s not too late to protect your investment.

We recommend turning and treating infested grain with Centynal™ Synergized Insecticide, a boost to short-term storage & rescue treatments. Centynal™ Synergized Insecticide combines both an adulticide and a synergist, providing effective knockdown to help control even the toughest stored product insects for storage of 6 months or less.

Some situations, however, may require fumigation with an EPA-registered fumigant for short term control of stored grain insects.
